Letter from Leadership
Dear JA Dallas Educators, Volunteers, Donors, Board Members, and Staff:
Junior Achievement of Dallas reached an unprecedented 113,000 students this year through innovation and updating curriculum to meet students where they were. Board members and staff were dedicated to serving students despite the ongoing pandemic and demand grew substantially as community relationships flourished. The pandemic created the opportunity for our digital curriculum to materialize and with the dedication of staff to grow significantly.
We are grateful for loyal donors who stepped up to invest as revenue jumped back to pre-pandemic levels. These investments allowed us to increase promoting to schools and expand curriculum to impact more students. We are now poised to continue to impact more students and added staff to be able to sustain growth.
In 2022 we moved from working remote to The Water Cooler at Pegasus Park, the community of nonprofit and social impact tenants. This provides the opportunity to network and collaborate with other nonprofit organizations where we can multiply our reach and effectiveness by partnering. We were thrilled to be accepted into the Watercooler, band together with other organizations and are enjoying a hybrid workplace.
We are pleased with our growth, and we are passionate about continuing to innovate so students receive a wide range of skills and nurture self-belief to them for the future of work, teach them how to think entrepreneurially, and ensure they have the tools to be capable adults.
Sincerely,
Jan Murfield, CFRE
