The middle grades programs build on concepts the students learned in Junior Achievement’s elementary school program and help teens make difficult decisions about how to best prepare for their educational and professional future. The programs supplement standard social studies curricula and develop communication skills that are essential to success in the business world.

Program Brief

Program Overview


JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. (Grades 4-6) 

JA Finance Park Virtual


JA Finance Park Virtual invests in students early on, empowering them to make intelligent lifelong financial decisions including career interests, personal values, how education affects their earning potential. budgeting, credit, interest rates, and how saving today will affect their tomorrow.  (Grades 7-12).

JA Learn and Earn App

JA Learn and Earn is a brand-new app, created by the founders and engineers that helped to build and launch Acorns, the fastest growing micro-investing app in the country. This app allows middle and high school students to learn financial literacy skills anytime, anywhere, in a fun and engaging gaming experience. The JA Learn and Earn App is available for free in the App Store and Google Play Store.

JA Company Program Pop-Up


JA Company Program–Pop-Up teaches students how to plan, launch, and operate their own business venture within a structured, guided experience. Throughout the start-up process, students collaborate, make crucial business decisions, practice communication skills, and develop entrepreneurial knowledge and skills within a streamlined, teacher-led experience. All profits generated benefit the school, a designated community organization, or other school-approved recipients.

Business professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovative thinkers from a variety of industries join this powerful career readiness experience to share their personal and professional career journey with students. This can be done virtual (LIVE) or via submitted video. The JA Virtual Career Speaker Series offers speakers representing ALL of the 16 career clusters.
